Mac Powell
Mac Powell is a recovering clinical psychology professor who has spent much of his career on the uneasy border between fascination and fear.
His work with death row cases for the Public Defender’s Office, along with his firsthand experience interviewing and studying the world’s greatest serial killers, gave him a rare view into the far edges of human behavior. That experience became the foundation for the Wolves universe: a connected world of investigators, murderers, and the evil hiding in plain sight.
These experiences are the foundation for Powell’s thrillers, which run on psychological tension and gallows humor. When he isn’t writing, he’s reading, chasing two dogs who have no respect for deadlines, or scouting Los Angeles restaurants with his coauthor.
